At Mange La Vie our goal is to help you create the perfect personalized culinary experience that will impress your guests and your tastebuds.  Headed by Executive Chef & Owner Kirk Swaby, our chef team comprises chefs with backgrounds from some of the best restaurants in Chicagoland. With a variety of services, from corporate catering, to a romantic dinner for two, to individual cooking classes, we can make every occasion in your life a memorable one.

Services. We offer a variety of services that are suitable for all occasions. Doing everything from large-scale catering for corporate or social events to providing a personal chef for a private dinner party. We are also able to provide our clients with food delivery and cooking classes without them having to leave the comfort of their home. Please see our events tab for more details.  

Customization. Through continuous communication and collaboration, a menu will be developed to fit your exact needs, budget, and vision. Our goal is to get as much information from our client as possible to make their event personalized and unique. Any additional service need such as servers or bartenders or specialty services can be recommend or requested. 

Budget. There is no "standard" pricing as each event is fully customizable in every detail. We work with the budget our client has in mind to create and exceed their expectations. We always try to provide the best quality for the best price.

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Chef Swaby's passion for food began humbly in his grandmother's kitchen on the island of Jamaica. He attended both George Brown in Toronto and Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago, earning his degree in Culinary Arts amongst the best.  Well- trained in classic techniques, Chef Swaby also studies and practices new trends to constantly evolve his cuisine 

Heidi     Polk

EXECUTIVE BANQUET CHEF

Chef Heidi has over 20 years experience in the food service and hospitality industry. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Hospitality Management and is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Chicago Culinary Arts Program. With an extensive background in catering, Chef Heidi specializes in bringing unique dining experiences to all occasions such as intimate dinner parties, weddings, holiday, birthday and themed events. With the passion, drive, and ability to bring people together through food, Chef Heidi has become a key component to the excellent services we provide to you our clients.

jason Gallimore

CHEF de CUSINE 

Chef Gallimore has worked in multiple Michelin-Starred restaurants throughout Chicago. Comprising skills from fine dining restaurants along with a variety of cuisines from French to Neo American gastro pubs, Chef Gallimore brings a unqiue touch to the team . By working nearly every position in the industry, he has developed into an extremely versatile chef with an acute attention to detail.
